Kamloops Seniors Village is a Campus of Care, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Long-Term Care. Having a community that offers all care levels allows a resident to age in place comfortably and keeps couples close together, even if different care levels are required. Centrally located in the Aberdeen Hills of Kamloops, with panoramic city and mountain views, our team of professionals work hard to meet your lifestyle needs.
INDEPENDENT LIVING
Our Independent Living program is intended for seniors who have been living independently and continue to direct their own care but choose to be free of their home management duties. Independent Living residents prefer the convenience of living in a social atmosphere that provides services and security. Residents come and go as they please, and participate in activities of their choosing within their community. Independent living is a combination of a private suite and hospitality services. ASSISTED LIVING
Our Assisted Living program is the combination of a private suite, hospitality services, and personal assistance (such as support with medication or showering – referred to in Community Care and Assisted Living Act as prescribed services). Assisted living is intended for people who are able to make the range of decisions that allow them to live in a supportive, semi-independent environment. (Private Pay)
LONG-TERM CARE SERVICES
Long-Term Care provides a secure supervised environment, with accommodation and care, for people who cannot have their care needs met in their own home or in an assisted living residence on a permanent basis. Long-Term Care services include 24-hour care by our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and dedicated team members, led by our in-house medical director. (Private Pay & Subsidized)
In British Columbia, Long-Term Care falls under the legislation of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act as well as the Residential Care Regulations. Health Authority professionals including Medical Health Officers and Licensing Officers ensure Long-Term Care operators are adhering to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act legislation and Residential Care Regulations through regular inspections.
