I contracted Shylo to provide in home care for my mother from Dec 2007 to her death in November 2010. My mother had serious and complex health issues during this time but thanks to the extraordinary care by all members of the Shylo team my mother survived years longer than doctors predicted.

What attracted me to Shylo was the fact the owner and supervisors were qualified RNs who would act as backup and support to the caregiver on the job. Given my mother’s condition this medical knowledge would certainly be an asset. I was most impressed by the high level of professionalism when I contacted Shylo and with the selection of a caregiver who turned out to be the perfect match for my mother.

In retrospect it was well worth contracting Shylo instead of hiring a live in caregiver on our own. Shylo was able to act as an intermediary in any issues that arose with the caregiver. Shylo provided 24 hour nursing consultation. Shylo also looked after employee salary and benefits. It was also comforting to know that if our caregiver was ever sick, Shylo would provide an alternate.

There are a number of home care companies and it is important to choose wisely, we found out. Shylo in our experience was a very fortunate choice. The care could not have been better.

Shylo has been providing home nursing care for my adult parent for the past several years, they provide complete in home care, and service for all of my parents needs, including daily supervision, home cleaning, appointment scheduling, transportation and all other necessary needs as well as companionship for my parent.

With my personal unique situation being a US citizen and living a great distance away, I have had the privilege to meet and talk with in depth the owner of the company, Margot and I have had multiple discussions about my parent’s needs, care, and daily routines. Margot has provided me with a weekly update on my parent’s condition and any pertinent information concerning her health, activities or her place of residence needs regardless of how small.

Shylo has provided me with a sense of absolute care for my parent, knowing that she is well taken care of around the clock, 365 days a year, that her daily life and routines are met with compassion and understanding by the staff.

I would without hesitation recommend Shylo Home Healthcare to anyone who finds themselves in the need of their particular services, knowing full well that they will provide the best possible care for a loved one.

Hello all. I wanted to take a moment to send you our deepest thanks for the care and consideration you gave to Wayne's parents, Cliff and Donna. We appreciate that looking after two people with various physical disabilities and cognitive impairments is a lot to ask of one person, but your women did the job with a smile and always a kind word. Anytime we dropped in for tea or a game of dice, one of the caregivers was always happy to join in, help out, and bring us up to date on how things had been going with the old folks.

The communication via notes in each binder was very helpful, with an hourly account of what they had eaten, how much they had slept, and general comments about their state of mind and health.

It was wonderful for Cliff and Donna to stay at home as long as they did; much longer than we thought was possible. Thank you for everything!
